Archbishop Corrigan was not the son of poor working-class Irish immigrants in New York
Line of Events
After witnessing disease and poverty in the slums of New York, Italian immigrant Francesca Cabrini embarks on a daring journey to convince the hostile mayor to provide housing and health care for hundreds of orphaned children.. The film is screened by the nuns of Mother Cabrini' ;s order, some of whom were about ninety years old. By the end of the film, many of them are reported to be crying, with some of them exclaiming “THAT’S Cabrini!”.
Cabrini: We can serve our weakness or we can serve our purpose
Corrigan was born in New Jersey to Irish immigrants who owned a grocery and liquor store in Newark and were wealthy.. Not both.. Featured on The Glenn Beck Program: Is 'Cabrini' THE BEST Christian movie since 'The Passion of the Christ?' (2024).
Dare To Be Performed by Andrea Bocelli and Virginia Bocelli
Mother Cabrini is a legend and I am shocked I had never heard her story before! This film tells of her struggles and triumphs in such a beautiful, inspiring and captivating way! After watching it, I not only wanted to learn more about what she did in her life, but also about the Five Points area of New York.
Total girl power with faith in God
Historically, I have felt enriched, but I have also felt tremendous empathy for my fellow human beings and the struggles that people go through. Cabrini helped orphans and immigrants on nothing more than faith, believing that the resources would come. I felt so uplifted and inspired to do more, no matter how much I can offer, it’s enough! Perfect pairing!
